Excited to Announce This Incredible Women's Weekend...Made Just for You!!
Ladies, last year was so much fun, let's do it again! Registration Opens Soon for 2024 Sport + Spirit Women's Retreat Weekend.
Come raise the JOY factor at our Saturday night dance jam with Erica Ross, AKA DJ Muse!
Erica brings her expertise and love of music and dance to inspire and amplify our personal and collective joy and healing. Get ready for an uplifting journey that energizes your playful spirit.
To start us off, Erica will gently guide us in “Body Flow” - a simple 10-min group movement practice to playfully relax and explore our own natural rhythms, impulses, and body wisdom. Your way. (You can’t get it wrong!).
We’ll then dive into an 80-minute set - starting with slower beats, rising up to faster tempos, then dropping back down again. Each track is carefully curated to keep you moving and grooving.
If you love a wide-range of music, then you’ve come to the right place.
Erica’s sets feature global beats and genres: funk, disco, house, jazz, blues, Afro beats, world, reggae, pys-trance, ambient, bossa nova, and remixes.
What better way to come together and celebrate than to get in the groove zone, feel the rhythm and rejoice.
Join us and let the music move you.
Hope to see you there!
Erica Ross grew up in a home of dance and art. She is a CREATRIX: dancer, DJ, artist, author, creativity coach, group facilitator, and entrepreneur.
With over 40 years of experience in the creative, healing and spiritual arts, Erica has followed her wild heart, creative impulses and freedom-loving spirit around the globe since she was 18.
As a dancer and ecstatic dance DJ and facilitator, MUSIC is at the heart of what Erica does. Her deep love of dance music goes back to the late 70s when she was a member of NYC’s The Loft, one of the birthplaces of house music.
She co-founded The Move Dance Collective, one of Toronto’s largest ecstatic dance communities, and Dance Our Way Home, an award-winning ecstatic dance practice for women. This practice was honoured by the Canadian Dance Assembly with a national dance award as an ‘Outstanding Individual and/or Organization Promoting Dance as a Tool for Healthy Communities’).
Her books, “She Reflects”, and “She Reflects Journal & Colouring Book”, based on her life and dance practice, were self-published in 2018.
Erica is the mother of a grown daughter, a new grandmother, and lives with her partner in Toronto. There, she makes art and dance sets, coaches other creatives as a Creativity Doula, and runs a Zoom co-working space called Open Studio. Wherever she is, Erica sees life as a sacred experiment, and practices keeping her heart open, regardless.
